Unfortunately, a large group of people sell players/ parents on the AAU basketball model of traveling all over the country to play against “the best” “on circuits,” but in reality, college coaches aren't watching, and these players are getting scammed.

If you aren't in an organization that prioritizes DEVELOPMENT, knowledge, friendships, sportsmanship, and love of the game….you are probably in the wrong spot.

Lecturing your kids after games
Talking about teammates
Telling your kids to ignore coaching
Playing the blame game
Making failure unacceptable

You don’t need to coach. Be supportive. Offer encouragement & just love them!

You could argue Caitlin’s left foot wasn’t completely across the line when she passed it but NaLyssa wasn’t fully across.

@HeatherM74 @KURTspeeds @Sudharsan_ak A foot in the air is considered to be where it last touched which was in the backcourt. Now, Caitlin’s left foot might not have been over the line (very, very close) but either way as a point guard you don’t allow it to be that close. The outrage is ridiculous

@dspaeth11 @BenSchrader05 @travisWSN Yes, I agree. 90% of the schools are never going to come close to the point threshold, but it really stinks for the top programs who have consistent success. The northern D5 schools around me celebrated because it meant the private schools who always won our sectional would get

@BenSchrader05 @travisWSN The schools that make up the WIAA came up with it and voted heavily for it…like 70% approved it. I’m not a huge fan of the WIAA but no one is to blame for this but the schools.
