On behalf of the County Government of Marsabit & on my own behalf, I want to express our deepest condolences to His Excellency the President of our Republic & the Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, the Hon. @WilliamsRuto on the tragic loss of his Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Francis Omondi Ogolla.

I also express our condolences to the family & friends of the late Chief of Defence Forces and all the officers who so tragically lost their lives.

We pray that the Almighty accord our Nation & the bereaved families the fortitude to bear this grievous loss.

During the launch of the Ethnic and Diversity Audit Report for the County Public Service 2023, it was revealed that only 13 out of 47 counties complied with Section 65(1)(e) of the County Government Act. This section emphasizes the importance of filling at least thirty percent of entry-level vacant posts with candidates from non-dominant ethnic communities. #Kenya: A couple was on Friday arraigned at a Narok court for allegedly subjecting their pregnant 15-year-old Grade 7 daughter to forced Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) contrary to the law.
