Lets get one thing clear here - Army here is limited to Sikh Regiment. Which recruits only Jatt Sikh. It has a narrow recruitment base. Compared to Sikh Regiment, Sikh Light Infantry (Sikh LI) recruits Majhabi Sikhs (Schedule Caste Sikhs), and its recruitment base is much higher. Unlike the Sikh Regiment, it will not face similar situation.

And while the article clearly speaks about economic migration as one of the main causes, coupled with lack of physical standards, this fellow will have you believe that its all because of Agnipath scheme.

This is not an insult to the Army and every time a system or process is challenged, can’t use the Army’s credentials as a shield. Regiments have caste composition and that composition is skewed, that’s a point that needs redressal in a democracy. #WATCH | Rewri, Haryana | Air Force pilot Siddharth Yadav lost his life in a Jaguar fighter aircraft crash late last night in Jamnagar.

His father Sushil Yadav says, "The commanding air officer called last night at around 11 am and informed us about the incident that an aircraft has crashed, one pilot was rescued and another pilot, our son, had died. He was engaged on March 23. He joined NDA course 135 in January 2016... He was a brilliant student. We had always been proud of him... My father and grandfather were in the army.
