What work would you expect a college counsellor to do? Naturally, supporting mental health, but lets not forget career advice, family support, community resourcing and all of it in a culturally competent manner. Make sure @CECouncil doesn't cut counsellors off. @CAATfaculty
Listen, the @CECouncil may be lead by @CEC_Graham - the former head of the Dairy Farmers of Ontario - but college faculty are not here to be milked. Update our workload formula (last revised in 1985). Provide stability for contract faculty… #BargainingforBetter
The @CECouncil has refused faculty’s offer to send outstanding issues to arbitration—which would guarantee no labour disruption. If they believe their offer is fair, why not present it to a neutral arbitrator, and let us focus on what matters most: students.
