@mattturck Raise the minimum wage for H1-B to 20% above the local median wage for the role and problem solved. Right now the rules allow the wage below the median, encouraging the arbitrage. Fortune 500 IT back office is filled with underpaid H1-B to take advantage of the arbitrage.
We are pivoting away from doing enterprise AI transformations ("AI-native Palantir"). For now at least.
I've shared our key learnings below. I'll share a detailed blog post soon.

What does it mean?
Palantir and Cleveland built a Virtual Command Center to orchestrate hospital operations.
This tool achieved terrific results:
+7.6% patient transfers to the main campus;
-38 minutes in ER waiting time;
-40% time of unused orthopedic OR.
We can think of it as the hospital operating system to:
- manage patient flows;
- organize nurses and doctors efficiently;
- maximize the utilization of tools and facilities.
Cleveland is a key Palantir client in healthcare:
โข In 2022 they signed a 10y partnership;
โข In 2023 they deepened the relationship to build a Virtual Command Center as one of the first AI projects.
"More are planned," Cleveland wrote in a blog last year.
Furthermore, Cleveland's CEO disclosed that the Virtual Command Center is "now being used by other healthcare systems."
Palantir powers ~20% of US hospitals.
The overall impact could be immense if Palantir could scale the impact of this solution on all hospitals.
Yet, we are not talking only about numbers...
Real efficiency saves lives.
@buccocapital Back in ~2013, the internal equity / compensation tool had scenarios valuing employee equity up to $100bn. Alex Karp always knew where Palantir was headed! $pltr
@toan_t_ton Totally disagree! No early employee thought of it as a consulting biz. Sure, $50bn wasnโt on most peopleโs radar in 2010 (except for our comp scenario toolโฆ). Valuations were always astronomical at each financing round, however, making it difficult for VCs to take interest.
