The nerve of people who ask “how are you going to pay for it?” whenever we propose building advanced public education, healthcare, & climate infrastructure yet defend a system where Trump pays $750 in taxes and Amazon pays none is beyond me.
This isn't just Trump's disrespect for Biden coming through. It's his disrespect for the election process entirely. This constant litany of interruptions and lies deprives voters of the opportunity to actually hear a real debate.
Just so we’re clear: this week the sitting President re-tweeted a video of senior citizens chanting “white power” and called Black Lives Matter “a symbol of hate.”
A rule of thumb: If you're lying about nonexistent voter fraud, if you're limiting polling places, if you're forcing people to line up to vote in a pandemic, even the old and the infirm, then it seems you're basically admitting most Americans don't want you to be president.
I know masks aren’t exactly comfortable, but neither are bras, and a good portion of the population wears those regularly for far less important reasons.
isnt it fucking horrifying and sad that some of our parents were alive for the previous movements and protests, and are somehow still on the wrong side? like... what were their views then?
all i know is somehow a generation that stayed silent birthed the loudest fucking one.
Stop celebrating peaceful cops, that should be the norm. We don’t write articles every time a pilot lands a plane. That’s just the bare minimum to keep people alive.
here's a start: any cop who covers their badge number, turns off their body cam, or illegally stops someone from filming them gets fired, no questions asked
