El párroco de la iglesia Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro, en Guayaquil, Ecuador, murió este sábado tras ser golpeado por una pesada cruz de madera que se desprendió de la pared en medio de una misa que se transmitía en vivo.

La arquidiócesis de Guayaquil emitió un comunicado informando la muerte del padre Patricio Sánchez:

"Comunicado: Informamos que nuestro querido P. Patricio Alfredo Sánchez Molinari, CSsR., quien se desempeñaba como párroco de la iglesia Perpetuo Socorro en la Vicaría Centro, ha partido a la Casa del Padre para gozar de su presencia y su gloria", dijo la arquidiócesis de Guayaquil.
