@dilanesper@mcreditably This kind of thinking is why a lot of London iconic venues (e.g. printworks) are dying and being replaced by boring office buildings.
If in the end all you’re left with are flats/offices you just end up with an impoverished city life even if its more locally optimal

@RichardHanania That's a silly example. We allowed the system to work we would just import all of our food from third world countries which is cheaper, and use our land for more high-value work. But then over generations you'll just forget how to grow food and die if a war breaks out
