@dfossier@JSODonoghue@LAGovJeffLandry It’s not medicad my brother in Christ it’s the corruption that people are upset about #’oremedicadforALLhospitals
I see a lot of discourse about "open borders" happening on here.
So I'll do a brief 🧵with some links to sources that present arguments for open borders.
Immigration restrictions are among the most harmful forms of state coercion, and free movement is very important.
NEW: Louisiana is the latest GOP state to endorse videos by right-wing @prageru for use in public schools. The nonprofit says its "pro-America" content promotes "Biblical values" and fights "woke culture." Critics say it's conservative propaganda. https://t.co/lq87MQRNpI
My appreciation goes out to Tulane President Michael Fitts, @PoliceTulane, Tulane Police Chief Frank Young, @NOPDNews Chief Anna Kirkpatrick, the New Orleans Police Department, and the @LAStatePolice for safely clearing the Tulane campus of those who sought to illegally occupy the campus! Many colleges across our country may allow this lawlessness, but Louisiana will NOT. This State will not tolerate those who seek to disturb the peace by means of criminality.

DEVELOPING: Louisiana lawmakers have advanced a state budget proposal that would cut public school teacher pay and reduce the number of early childhood education seats available next school year. @JSODonoghue reports: https://t.co/yl2BDYDA4p #lalege#laed

As the legislatures begins debate and votes on the Constitutional Convention bill next week, I intend to be fully transparent. Our Louisiana Constitution has over 79,000 words. The U.S. Constitution has just over 4,500 words. Our Constitution is over 17 times larger than the U.S. It takes an average person ½ hour to read the U.S. Constitution and more than 10 hours to read our state Constitution. We need change. As part of the process, HB 800 calls for the Governor to designate 27 delegates. So, these are the people I would intend to nominate to serve at the Constitutional Convention. They have the experience, knowledge, and best interests of Louisiana at heart:
@FixNOLA @_KrakenCalamari @thohick@RepTroyCarter@SenJohnKennedy “Independent” also homicades are up in other areas in the state not just in NOLA but I understand your understanding starts and stops at NOLA.
I was wrong with my number yesterday. Got the final number and the wire is complete. Wanted to be accurate.
Do I expect all of it to be used wisely. Of course not.
But I'm still proud to be able to give back to our country.
I've said it for years. After military service, paying your taxes is the most patriotic thing we can do.
All of LSU Women’s basketball should transfers just to spike Landry and all the people complaining about them not being out for the anthem. Y’all are dumb, and are fascist smd.
House Health & Welfare votes 7-4 for Republican Rep. Chuck Owen's bill allowing ivermectin to be sold as an over-the-counter medication for people in Louisiana without needing a prescription. HB312 heads next to the full House. #lalege
Louisiana Senate is debating SB1 by Sen. Blake Miguez. It would allow 18-year-olds and older to carry a gun without a permit. The New Orleans Police Dept and police union both oppose the measure, saying it will endanger public safety #lalege#lagov
