Social Capital™️
I have never seen the plight of my generation articulated so well.
This is the core issue we must solve, we must provide abundant social capital to the next generation - using the levers of politics and private industry - or humanity as we know it will end.
The rise and fall of wokeness: DEI commitments in corporate securities disclosures filed with the SEC. To me this seems a trailing indicator; most other measures of wokeness take off well before 2019 and peak in 2020 or 2021. But the shape! That's what a moral fashion looks like.
This is a governance attack. This passed on a technicality despite the fact a majority of MEPs voted against it. They intentionally put it up on the last day of parliament knowing that people would be on holiday and it would pass because not enough people turned out. They literally attacked the frailties of their own governance system.
If you needed any further proof that these mass surveillance measures are undemocratic and authoritarian, this is it. They want this so much they're willing to undermine basic democratic legitimacy to get it. Deeply sinister and foolish.
Whatever this parliament does from now on, is a joke. They will just vote on policies that incrementally destroy civil liberties until they pass on technicalities. The UK have just given themselves the powers to do this, so they don't even need to vote on it.
Genuinely think we could be seeing the last days of democracy here.
🇪🇺 Chat Control has passed 😔
They can and will now legally scan any person's messages, emails and photos you send without a warrant
The way they passed this law when the majority of the European Parliament was against it will shock you:
They waited until most EP members were on holiday so only a few were present and then created an "urgent" vote for it to pass it through
There's nothing democratic about any of it and big powerful forces are behind this that can manipulate the EU for whatever they want
Democracy in Europe died a bit today 😔
@IanCarrollShow 3.5M Epstein files released. Still no answers under oath to three questions: (1) Who is the figure on the MCC stairs at 10:39pm, Aug 9 — when officials swore no one entered the tier? …
@ganyicz Wouldn’t 5x the code be better if it’s 100x faster to create anyway? There are 100 ways to skin a cat: who cares? As long as it’s robust and reliable, then move on.
@MattWalshBlog What we need to do as collectively as humanity is establish the ‘moral’ guidelines for AI. It’s a time for all xenophobia, be it from religion or elsewhere, to be set aside and to find what we can all agree on. We need the best in tech to create a platform to facilitate this.
technology/electronic and merge into a super intelligence with plasma power… and ultimately we become a bright shining star using our light to communicate with distant stars and galaxies, all of which are super intelligences.
What if stars are intelligent - a super intelligence, operating at a level and time scale we can’t comprehend, but is ultimately our own destiny? Today we are biological and have coal and nuclear power, next we become…
@elonmusk The Dodo had no predators, hence its genes were inherently too trusting and lead to extinction. Rallying the dodos to fight would have been a pointless exercise. For those who do understand and have courage, we must protect western civilisation and stop xenophobic dogma.
@PeterDiamandis@ranig And the purpose of the simulation is to brute-force ‘creativity’: to see if we can break out of our simulation, so that our makers can break out of theirs. We’ll create our own sims too. It’s an infinite fractal of daddy issues.
