🚨REPORT | BBC Verify says footage and expert analysis indicate a U.S. Precision Strike Missile was likely used in the March 9 strike on a sports hall in Lamerd, Iran, where children were training, killing at least 21 people, including young girls.

High-resolution satellite imagery reviewed by the BBC shows the sports hall and nearby residential buildings destroyed, while the adjacent IRGC compound appears to have remained undamaged.

As Drop Site’s earlier reporting documented, the missile tore through a civilian gym packed with students during training sessions, triggering panic, collapsing debris, and “continuous screaming” as injured children were pulled from the rubble.

Eyewitnesses described parents arriving to find bodies of teenage girls and young athletes—some killed instantly, others buried under concrete. Both BBC and Drop Site reports are linked below.

A deeply cruel system.

The Israeli authorities have recently deported numerous Palestinian patients from hospitals in occupied Jerusalem. Many of these individuals had been receiving treatment long before October 7.

Because Gaza’s healthcare system was severely limited even before the genocide, many patients, particularly those with cancer, were referred to hospitals in occupied Jerusalem where they could receive the care they needed. Even after initial recovery, these patients require regular follow-up appointments and continued access to medication, services that are simply not available in Gaza.
There is no guarantee that these patients could go back to the hospitals in Jerusalem for follow-up appointments.

As CNN reported last week, while most patients agreed to return to Gaza, some were sent back against their will because no treatment options await them in the devastated enclave.

According to reports today, before the patients were allowed to reenter Gaza this morning, Israeli authorities confiscated some of their personal belongings.

Note: when you read about this in Israeli media, you are told the patients were treated in Israel. No, these were Palestinian hospitals.
