Khalid Yousif of Taqqadum is here saying he’s afraid that the both sides narrative that they have cultivated is collapsing; as according to him it may help one side (the Army) win the war.
Taqqadum’s entire political calculation has been to support the RSF politically in the hope that that they can return to Gov on the militia’s coattails. This isn’t a theory it’s already happened with half of Taqqadum having already split off to formally join the RSF’s so called Tasis Gov. However, for Taqqadum members like Khalid Yousif who are from Khartoum and the Centre, they have little interest in a Gov in Darfur they want to return to power in Khartoum.
Please don’t use tragedies like this to score points or bring rivalries into it. This could happen to anyone, including yourself. Life is too short and always make sure the people close to you know how much you care for them.
A strong condemnation from the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman regarding Kenya platforming the sanctioned Sudanese Rapid Support Forces.
He argues that Kenya— traditionally a U.S. ally— is now facilitating the RSF’s legitimacy under the pretext of “peacemaking”.
I sincerely apologize for inadvertently posting an AI-generated video disguised as a genuine commentary from Fareed Zakaria of CNN on the search for peace in the Sudan conflict and Kenya’s role in it. I regret any confusion this may have caused and thank everyone who flagged the video as a deepfake. Our Ministry has been working with partners and tech companies to explore the potential of watermarking AI-generated content to ensure that such material does not pose as human-generated material.
Additionally, we are designing—with the collaboration of partners and big-tech companies—the School on AI Diplomacy (SAID) at the Foreign Services Academy—a program I will attend—to equip policymakers better to navigate these emerging challenges. My apologies once again and sincerely appreciate everyone's vigilance, correction, and candor.
The arguments are almost redundant now, the SPLA- North, Al-Hilu called Hemeti "comarade" and "leader of the marginalised"! A handful shout a meekly chant, "an old Sudan is smashed, and a new one is progressing." The farce.
