5th grade explored the coordinate plane through @joboaler’s Mindset Mathematics technique! They graphed foods on a coordinate plane based on whether they think it’s yummy/not yummy and healthy/unhealthy. @ccsd21twain

We embraced a challenge in fifth grade this morning by learning and playing Wordle! I’ve been playing this every day, and I wanted my students to join in on the fun 😊 @ccsd21twain

For our SEL activity, my kids had to describe the picture in front of them while their partner tries to draw what they’re describing. The goal was to get it as close to the original picture. They had a blast and also got to practice their oral and listening skills. @ccsd21twain

As we continue to work on narrative writing, our focus today was on “Show, Don’t Tell.” My kids did an AMAZING job showing how someone is angry, rather than telling readers, “She is angry.” @ccsd21twain
