India’s exemplary GDP growth of 7.8% during Q1 of FY 2026-27 is a herculean feat.
The collective strength of our people ensured India delivered such growth despite oil price shocks and supply chain issues in the midst of global uncertainties.
Doomsayers were doomed and India bloomed…yet again!
Migration out of India seeded the ancient world.
Two hills in southwest Ireland are named after a Rig Veda goddess. They are called the Paps of Danu. Every spring, farmers lit fires around them and drove cattle between the flames for protection. The Vedas describe the same ritual.
Danu is the Rig Veda mother goddess of the flowing waters. Her name is written into the geography of half of Eurasia. The Danube. The Dniester. The Dnieper. The Don. The Donau. Greek Demeter. Northern Greeks once called themselves the Dannuni. In Ireland, the pre-Christian pantheon called itself the Tuatha de Danaan. Children of Danu.
The mainstream story that pale steppe nomads invaded India around 1500 BC and imposed Sanskrit on a dying Indus Valley civilisation has been steadily dismantled over the last thirty years. The recent genetic and linguistic papers still cited in its defence describe contact at the edges, not replacement at the centre.
The direction of travel runs the other way. Out of India, in pulses, over thousands of years.
Iran took the name of the people, Aryans. Ahura Mazda is the Vedic Asura. The magi are the Vedic magoi.
The Germanic and Slavic pulse moved overland from the ninth millennium BC. They carried the sky-father Dyaius, who became Tyr in Scandinavia, Zeus in Greece, Deus in Rome.
The Italo-Celtic pulse moved by sea from the seventh millennium. When the Celtic branch turned up the Atlantic coast around 5,400 BC, it left place names all the way from Iberia to Ireland. Portugal. Galicia. Gaul. Pays de Galles. Cornwall. Galloway. Galway.
Then the Sarasvati river dried around 2000 BC. A military wave moved west into the Near East. The Kassites ruled Babylonia for 500 years. The Mitanni signed a treaty with the Hittite king Suppiluliuma in 1380 BC swearing by Mitra, Varuna, Indra and the Nasatyas. Four Vedic gods, on a Hittite tablet, thirteen centuries before the earliest date the invasion theory allows for the Vedas.
The Greeks came in the same window. Zeus is Dyaius. When Alexander crossed the Hindu Kush he met people at Nysa claiming descent from Dionysus. Some of their heroes, they said, had come this way.

In a civilization like India which invented cold pressed seed oils and ghee thousands of years ago, and ate them for thousands of years without issues, a foreign company called Dada marketed hydrogenated vegetable fat as a "healthy alternative" to Ghee as early as 1930s and won people's minds with "Dalda."
The power of mental programming by clever marketing is real and dangerous. Indians are going through it right now at an unprecedented rate via social media. Indians are made to hate their own country and look up to superficial others.
Just like hydrogenated vegetable fat with transfats was proven to be dangerous to health decades later, and Indians are turning back to cold pressed oils and ghee, one day everyone will realize they made a mistake hating their own country for some others shown as great now.
But that day may be too late.
ORBIT ACHIEVED. 🚀
Vikram-1 Test Flight-1 has reached orbit. India's first privately developed orbital rocket has completed its final burn and injected its payloads into a ~450 km orbit, making India the third country in the world with private orbital launch capability.
History is made. 🇮🇳

One of the most remarkable discoveries from Dholavira, Gujarat, is this monumental Signboard, the largest known inscription from the Indus-Saraswati Civilisation and 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭-𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝. Comprising 10 large signs/letters made of Gypsum (each sign being appx. 36 cm tall) and the entire inscription stretching nearly 3 metres in length.
The site, located on the arid island of Khadir in Gujarat, was extensively excavated by the @ASIGoI over 13 field seasons from 1989 to 2005, unveiling indigenous urban sophistication in ancient Bharat.
From advanced water engineering to public inscriptions, Dholavira continues to reveal the remarkable capabilities of the Indus-Saraswati people, a legacy deeply rooted in the cultural and civilisational heritage of Bharat.

Who is next after the Ramanujan?
In the mid-20th century, Western academic cartels claimed that advanced mathematics was a European construct, brought to a colonized India via British education. Tekkath Amayankottukurussi Kalathil Sarasvati Amma responded by spending decades deep in the forgotten archives of Kerala, translating archaic Sanskrit palm-leaf manuscripts with razor-sharp mathematical precision.
She proved that centuries before Sir Isaac Newton/Gottfried Leibniz were even born, unheralded Indian astronomers had already built the foundations of calculus & high-level geometry. This is the story of how an Unsung Scholar reclaimed the Intellectual Sovereignty of a Nation.
For generations under colonial rule, a deeply damaging psychological narrative was hammered into the Indian psyche: Your ancestors were mystics & poets, but they lacked the rigorous, logical discipline for advanced science & mathematics. The global academic consensus was that high-level geometry, infinite series, & calculus were the exclusive property of Europe.
India was viewed as a nation that needed to be civilized with Western numbers, completely oblivious to the fact that it had once been the mathematical capital of the world.
T.A. Sarasvati Amma was born in Kerala, a land with a deeply hidden, rich intellectual undercurrent. She was not an "uneducated" woman in the literal sense, she was a brilliant scholar of Sanskrit & Mathematics, but to the global elite who only validated degrees from Oxford/Cambridge/Harvard, she was an outsider working in the shadows.
In the 1950s & 60s, while working under the guidance of legendary scholars like Dr. V. Raghavan at the University of Madras, she realized that the history being taught in schools was a lie. She did not seek validation from Western journals. She went straight to the dirt, the dust & the decaying private libraries of old Kerala families.
She began unearthing 100s of brittle, centuries-old palm-leaf manuscripts written in a highly technical, coded astronomical Sanskrit.
Sarasvati Amma undertook a brutal, lonely intellectual pilgrimage. For yrs, w/o the aid of computers/digital databases/massive research grants, she painstakingly translated & mathematically mapped out texts like the Yuktibhasa, the Karanapaddhati & the Tantrasangraha.
Her pitch to the skeptical academic community was uncompromising: "I will not give you theories. I will give you the exact geometric proofs, calculated centuries before your European heroes walked the earth."
She discovered that in the 14th century, a mathematician named Madhava of Sangamagrama & his disciples in the Kerala School of Mathematics had already solved problems that Europe would not touch until the late 17th century.
Against all odds, in 1979, Sarasvati Amma published her magnum opus: "Geometry in Ancient and Medieval India." It was a masterclass in mathematical archaeology that fundamentally shook the foundations of global history.
She systematically proved that:
The Madhava-Gregory Series: The infinite series for pi*(4 X (1 - 1/3 + 1/5 - 1/7.......), attributed to the Scottish mathematician James Gregory in 1671, was recorded in India 300 yrs earlier.
For the 1st time in modern history, the West could not look down its nose. The proofs were right there, written on palm leaves, preserved by a quiet woman who refused to let her nation’s history be erased.
Sarasvati Amma’s work didn't build corporate empires/software companies, but it did something far more powerful: it restored the intellectual self-respect of an entire civilization. Her book became the absolute gold standard reference for the history of mathematics worldwide, forcing global historians to slowly & reluctantly rewrite their textbooks.
She lived a fiercely quiet, simple life, retiring as a prof & spending her final yrs in her hometown in Kerala, completely disconnected from the blinding lights of fame. She passed away in 2000, largely unknown to the millions of Indian students who daily study the very calculus her work reclaimed.
T.A. Sarasvati Amma proved that the ultimate form of patriotism is the preservation of truth. She showed that a nation’s backbone is nott just built by industrial concrete/military might, but by its memory.
T.A. Sarasvati Amma proved that a lone Indian woman, armed with nothing but dusty palm leaves & an iron will, could rewrite the mathematical history of the world.
This 4,500-year-old terracotta dice from the Indus-Saraswati Civilization is a powerful reminder of India’s living heritage. Dicing is also mentioned as a popular game in Rig and Atharva Vedas (two of the four sacred Vedic scriptures).
From symbols and craftsmanship to rituals, yogic practices, and collective memory, numerous elements of ancient Indian civilization continue to thrive in the daily social and religious life of Indian society across regions and communities.
Civilizational inheritance is not just about geography or ruins, it is defined by living customs, symbols, rituals, and unbroken cultural consciousness. India is the enduring living continuity of the Indus-Saraswati Civilization.
