@glasgownasdaq@Davyjrob67 Yeah how did it ever become an expectation? They only just now stopped taking two pundits and a co-commentator to the actual ground for the live Championship games. If we really must have analysis, shows us the match stats on the screen.
@jordanbhx Maybe this is bait but aren't they *still* building Stuttgart (yes, it started in 2010) and say they'll be done by 2031? At a cost of 14bn Euros?
@StefanFSchubert I'd imagine feng shui (having lived in China for many years) actually has less impact than European ideals of protecting subjective natural beauty.
@Michael_J_Hil@thomasforth Doesn't the article make clear that Glasgow is contributing quite a lot to the growth? Per capita, Edinburgh is well ahead, but I suspect you've been taken in by the social media negativity about Glasgow (which is mostly Scottish-politics driven) if you're surprised.
@happy_layabout@alexmassie No, I think they now know what they have to do to make it safe, having assessed it, and are now carrying out the steps specified by experts who assessed it as unsafe. When those steps are completed, they can reopen the street. Could be faster, but it's 2026.
@maryhillmagyars@ElizabethDuthi2@ArtyBagger We've had loads of dry, warm sunny days in Edinburgh this summer. Pretty sure most places in Scotland have had similar. Maybe heatwave would be a stretch but as you say, we know it's going to be warmer in England.
@SPFLWatch It feels right for the key games but mid winter after a fairly uninspiring match in front of a small crowd and that 9:30-10:00 part was feeling horribly drawn out.
@SPFLWatch I've always felt the coverage was overkill for the Friday night Championship games. Two pundits plus a co-commentator must cost a bit. Save the money for showing actual football.
@SBienkowski@rosscolquhoun Scottish clubs generate surprisingly little commercial income compared to Danish/Norwegian teams. Hearts and Hibs are in prosperous Edinburgh but generate way less than a team like Midtjylland (from a sleepy part of Denmark), despite getting twice the crowds.
