Whoa…. In Madurai bench of Madras High Court today …

Turns out - all those huge construction works - carried out as Iconic Project in and adjacent to Sri Kallazhagar Temple, Azhagarkoil, Madurai were carried out without getting approvals from Town and Country Planning Department of Tamil Nadu Government. ₹40 CRORES of temple funds.

Further, there were constructions within 0-100 metres of Heritage Monument- in Azhagarkoil campus and again in 100-200 metres of the declared ancient monument. These works should be removed from there.

The Learned Advocate General made a fair statement on these and he also gave an undertaking to the Court that the said Civil works will not proceed without getting approvals from the authorities including CMDA and/or Archaeological Society of India (where applicable).

Shri @MRVChennai will continue his arguments tmrw before Hon’ble Division Bench in Madurai in Sri Kallazhagar temple case.

Shri Rangarajan Narasimhan @OurTemples presented details of fresh violations and also made an elaborate presentation on the financial inconsistencies and patent errors in the temple accounts.

One thing I have been saying all along. Civil works of value of more than ₹1000 Crores have been undertaken by @tnhrcedept in the last 4 and 1/2 years.

Just came to know that the roof of the 800 year old Mahadeshwara temple in Thiruchitrambalam village of Tenkasi district has completely collapsed. The locals have complained that despite submitting repeated requests to the govt authorities managing the temple, no steps were taken for its preservation and maintenance.

This centuries old temple believed to have been constructed by Kulasekara Pandyan requires immediate attention, which the anti-sanatan DMK government seems to be refusing.

Sad to know that the @tnhrcedept has allowed the centuries old Wooden Rathas of Tirunelveli Nellaiappaswamy temple to rot in weather by not moving them back to their shelter even after 60 days of Rathotsava. Seems like the DMK government is trying its best to change the cultural identity of the state by damaging such invaluable heritage artifacts in line with the vision of their crown prince @Udhaystalin who called for the "eradication of Sanatan".
