We watched the Aldhani arc yesterday and that first ISB scene still stops me dead in my tracks. It's so radically different from everything Star Wars has ever done. Showing the bureaucratic apparatus that drives the Empire, the supervisors fighting each other for control like vultures, the banality of their evil ... Just brilliant.

i love nature docs & i recently came across one that hit me super hard. turns out the labords chameleon’s life cycle is extremely short. they live only 4-5 months & immediately die after laying & burying their eggs (which is their only purpose)z

in the final moments their nervous system begins to fail as their brain loses control of skin cells, so random nerve firings cause the skin to randomly change colors which causes a ridiculous art as they slowly die. it’s like sort of a visualization of the brain’s final flickerings.

Allow yourself to feel completely and utterly ordinary. Not special, nor ascended. Not exceptionally intelligent, attractive, talented, conscious, or good at anything.

If you can sit with that possibility without trying to prove otherwise, your deepest insecurities will come up loudly - then you can surrender the parts of you that need to feel better than everyone else to be worthy of love.
