@BarryHavenhand@Farmer_Tom_UK Barry, you seriously don’t have a clue. Go work on a farm for a year. Deal with all the shit and look at the figures. Understand how our markets work and how supermarkets dictate our prices. Educate yourself before you speak 💩
@MarkHeath45 Full of BS!! Been trying to get a skilled worker in the last few months to be declined every time as ‘we don’t see a need within your business’
Would love to be able to employ locals but after trying with over 30 the last 5 years to do this type of work, it simply doesn’t work.
Took this from @ThatWelshFarmer Instagram.. In short. The supermarkets will tell you there is a shortage of eggs due to avian flu!!!
The reality is that supermarkets are raising prices but not paying the farmers enough for them to continue keeping chickens to produce them
Well don’t say you weren’t warned @tesco@AldiUK@waitrose@LidlGB@marksandspencer@sainsburys@asda
Egg shortage because you didn’t start paying enough 10 months ago.
Farmers aren’t getting the price increase reflected on the supermarket shelf!

Supermarkets need to pay Free Range Egg producers 40 p/doz more to keep them in business - Sign the Petition! https://t.co/z8Xr53Fhmt via @UKChange@BFREPA
Another animal welfare issue is that in times like these we don’t have the money to pay for a full clean out which leaves restocked hens at risk of disease. It just seems like a monopoly and extremely counter productive.
@edwinpootsmla the local abattoirs are paying very little and struggle with capacity. Reports of hens sitting on the lorry outside the factories for a day before culling, surely travelling with fresh air is much better for welfare than being cooked in a lorry on a hot day
@edwinpootsmla I am a free range egg producer in NI. As you know we are facing severe financial pressure at the moment. Something I would like addressed is the monopoly that RSPCA have created with end of lay hens. They have restricted movement to the UK abattoirs.
@1GarethWynJones@TheMacsFarm Simple cheap safe and cut a slit in the top with the grinder. Stops people stealing money, unfortunately still some people don’t pay but 99% are honest.
Struggling to see the sense of rewilding some of the most productive land with a growing demand on food. The way I see it, plant more trees and rewind here =less trees somewhere else and more imported food. Why not rewild less productive land if it’s deemed necessary #countryfile
Here are the egg counters we sell, count up to 12 houses/conveyors at one time!! 99.7% accurate!! They make monitoring production effortless and store production history. Most affordable counters on the market!
Finally up and running folks! 🎉 🍾. Have a look to see how the crack detector works and see what you think! Also comes in single transfer units for smaller flat deck houses. 😃
If a mess happens on the transfer an alarm sounds and an LED will show red, this is will indicate which transfer the mess is on so you don’t have to check all of them. There are also relays for each sensor and a main relay so you can connect external alarms etc. @BFREPA
New company I have started, had this problem for a long time and came up with a solution. Works great and massively reduced my seconds by reducing yolk and egg white spreading onto other eggs. Products almost ready to go, just some final logo and design for the unit to finish.
Had enough of poor shell quality and the messes it causes? Our product detects the mess as soon as it happens and alerts you to stop and clean the mess. Reduces seconds, saves time & maximises profit! Contact [email protected] for more info. Products for sale v soon.
Another week or 2 and we will be good to go. 2 models, one has 1 sensor the other has 4. I have the 4 transfer sensor one installed in my multi tier system for a few months and is working great.
