(1/2) Personal Intelligence just landed in AI Mode – unlocking a Google Search experience that really *gets* you. Starting with subscribers, if you opt in to connecting Search to apps like Gmail and Google Photos, you can get responses that are uniquely helpful and tailored to you.
I’ve been testing this out a ton and I’m genuinely impressed at how intuitive it’s been. AI Mode is not just searching, it’s helping connect the dots across my interests and preferences. For eg: it found family activities that slot perfectly into my travel plans – and even uncovered items that match my specific style... (like nailing it with recommending new shoes! 👟)
Introducing Personal Intelligence. It's our answer to a top request: you can now personalize @GeminiApp by connecting your Google apps with a single tap. Launching as a beta in the U.S. for Pro/Ultra members, this marks our next step toward making Gemini more personal, proactive and powerful. Check it out!
Excited to present our work at #KDD2023 about a boosting procedure for multitask learning on graphs, w/ Haotian, @aneeshs, and @HongyangZhang .

Graph neural networks are widely used in research studies using machine learning to graph-structured data. By contrast, there is less research on the theory of graph neural networks. Recently, we examined the generalization gaps of graph neural networks, 1/4
@paraga@jack Huge congratulations, Parag! This is so well deserved! Working with you was a highlight of my time at Twitter, and I’ve never been more optimistic about the future of Twitter 🚀
@lintool@pankaj@gilad@squarecog I’ve only followed the literature from an (ever increasing) distance lately, but my sense is that the basic aspects are all well understood by now so not as publishable. Also, community has (naturally) moved to ML-style problems which is problem centric as opposed to descriptive.
@edchi I’m sorry to hear about your father’s passing, Ed. I was moved by your beautiful tribute, and clearly a part of him lives on in your heart. May his memory be a blessing.
"An Experimental Study of Structural Diversity in Social Networks," new paper with @jessicatysu, @krishna_kamath, @aneeshs, and @5harad, to appear at ICWSM 2020: https://t.co/wuMxzodIx9 Several years in the making, I'm really excited to share this work! 1/n
Excellent thread from Johan on our (finally public) structural diversity paper from my time at Twitter👇🏾
To me, it was a reminder of how few (very plausible) hypothesis pan out in A/B testing. Even setting up this experiment was challenging, as the thread points out.
