Mercado extremo

Nunca vi, em toda a minha carreira, um mercado tão extremo e concentrado em um único setor. Parecia que não existia mais nenhuma empresa no mundo além das fabricantes de semicondutores.

Eu estava extremamente otimista com o setor, mas, por causa da guerra, decidi rotacionar parte da posição para hyperscalers. Queria mais proteção para os cotistas. Faz parte. Enquanto isso, em literalmente 60 dias, alguns papéis chegaram a triplicar. Isso não é razoável.

Recentemente, uma das posições do TC Cosmos foi justamente estar short em semicondutores diante dessa febre. O short foi encerrado depois dessa grande realização.

O fundo encerrou julho com alta de 6%, depois de meses enfrentando (e apanhando), narrativas que, na minha visão, estavam completamente distorcidas sobre os hyperscalers, como Amazon, Microsoft, Alibaba e Tencent.

O ponto é que está cada vez mais difícil operar o mercado. No curto prazo, ele está mais ineficiente, mais violento e dominado por momentum insanos. Os investidores entram em manada no mesmo setor e as distorções ficam brutais.

Isso exige uma reflexão profunda e uma mudança de mindset. O mercado muda ao longo do tempo, às vezes de forma sutil, mas muda. A função de um gestor e de um trader é perceber essas mudanças e se adaptar.

Quem diz que o mercado é sempre eficiente não está olhando o que acontece na prática. No longo prazo, os fundamentos acabam prevalecendo. No curto e no médio prazo, o mercado está absolutamente insano.

E um mar (bravo) ainda maior de oportunidades se abre.
