Greetings 👋
We're excited to announce the return of our webinar series, "Advances in Experimental Methods for Quantum Science and Technology." Join for upcoming session where we have the pleasure of hosting Dr Simone Colombo from UCONN.

Behind the scenes peek: currently knee-deep in 100s of wires, lasers, and a whole lot of trial and error as we move closer towards realization of long-lived circular Rydberg atoms. Some actual science soon 🤞

It's a trap!
@RapolUmakant & his team is actively working towards constructing a 20+ qubit ion trap quantum computer at @iHubQTF & @IISERPune. We are very excited to see the first trapped ion chain — a qubits register very soon.
Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Shri Narendra Modi, today approved the introduction of the National Research Foundation (NRF) Bill 2023 in Parliament. NRF’s functioning will be governed by an Executive Council chaired by the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
We "team Bose.X" are glad to announce a webinar series focused on experimental quantum physics from foundations to technology.
Get registered for more details on upcoming sessions!
Cheers!! 🤞✌️

With Prof Deepak Dhar, one of the best gurus I met (5 years ago:). First the Boltzmann medal (first ever Indian scientist) and now the Padma Bhushan award!! Many Congratulations!! 🤗💐💐💐 @IISERPune
Want to understand why the physics Nobel awarded today is such a big deal?
Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger were awarded the Nobel prize today for groundbreaking work in quantum technologies (1/?)
Are you looking for a first research project in experimental quantum physics? Do you want to understand how #ultracold atoms can be used to solve hard quantum problems? We offer TFG projects to motivated physics students from @UniBarcelona, @UABBarcelona and @la_UPC. Please RT!
Just a little show-off from my lab at Collège de France @cdf1530 and a Nobel motivation for you :P
PS: Champagne bottle from 2012 Nobel prize to Prof Serge Haroche!!
@NobelPrize
As we enter Nobel Prize season, time to retweet my plot of how physics prizes have been distributed between different areas. Yes I know "other" includes topics e.g. cond-mat that deserve their own category and I freely admit bias in promoting optics! Feel free to complain😀
Le laboratoire LKB est en journées de prospectives, près de Poitiers, avec notamment Serge Haroche qui est revenu sur une vie de recherche et d'enseignement, ponctuée par des récompenses dont le prix Nobel en 2012 !
We are so proud to tell that Prof. Deepak Dhar (Emeritus Professor) from our Department has been chosen for the Boltzmann Medal! The Boltzmann Medal is awarded once every three years by the Commission on Statistical Physics of the @IUPAP_physics. Many congratulations Deepak!

Physicists at @lkb_lab in Paris measured the fine-structure constant with a margin of error of 81 parts per trillion, an accuracy 3 times higher than the best measurement available to date.
