My friend Awni Farhat has set up a children's village in Rafah, Gaza where he and his team are bringing psychological relief with activities, games and music. This safe space provides the children with some stability and a lot of hope.

I met Awni when I was setting up an NGO for refugees in Turkey. He showed up as a volunteer to help the children that had survived the war in Syria. He was from Gaza, so nothing to do with him personally.
