@NJ_CASA FYI: you don’t mention how victim degrading the new bill is or the deceptive manner the rewrite was slid in at last minute to replace a much better original bill for which we had floor votes. Please be honest in letting people know about the outdated, victim degrading components

The questions should be: who forced the swap out from a really good bill to a victim degrading one when the original had the floor votes? And why, oh why would Senate Judiciary abet.

@declanoscanlon @Troy4NJ7 But you did not err on victims side. You put through the wrong bill. One that is based on falsities and stigmatizes victims. The original bill was what should have gone through. The judiciary needed to rise up and instead they laid low. They turned lights out on democracy.

@Troy4NJ7 Did you even read the original vs the substitute before you voted? NJ Senate Judiciary committee failed democracy Thursday. They appeased some dissenting, authoritarian voice over the will of the people; allowing NJ’s democracy to die in darkness. To what end? Shameful and sad.

@Troy4NJ7 NO, you did not pass a bill to remove the sol. The near “gold standard” bill that would have & many worked hard to gain majority vote for was thrown out. The substitute, with some good aspects, is actually outdated, non-trauma informed & stigmatizihg. Its degrading to victims.
