Andy Burnham has launched his very own Ministry of Truth at the heart of Government. 2026 meets 1984.

At the UN, the Prime Minister announced the formation of the ‘National Centre for Information Defence’, ostensibly to protect the UK from Russian bots and interference. He then claimed that Brexit had been exploited by Vladimir Putin to sow division in Britain.

We have no guarantees that this new unit will not be used to silence dissent among the British public. We have already seen how policies such as non-crime hate incidents go far beyond mere scope creep and infringe upon our right to free speech.

It is important to view this in the round: more than 62,000 people have been arrested for ‘speech-related’ offences in the last five years alone.

This is happening at the same time as the UK Government pursues plans to force social media platforms to promote state-approved “trustworthy” news sources, such as the BBC, while demoting more critical outlets such as GB News.

Ironically, Ofcom’s own survey — despite the regulator’s apparent attempts to hide it — showed that GB News viewers considered it more trustworthy than any public broadcaster.

She is sitting on television telling the story like it is a pleasant memory.

She was on a bus. The radio said a suicide bomber had walked into the Sbarro restaurant. Three dead. She admits she was disappointed. She had wanted a bigger number. Two minutes later the radio said five. She tried to hide the smile but couldn’t.

Praise Allah, she says. It was great.

Around her the other passengers started clapping as the count went up. They didn’t know she was one of the bombers. On the way back they went through a Palestinian police checkpoint and the officers were laughing. One of them put his head in the window and said congratulations to us all.

Everybody was happy.

That’s not some fighter in a tunnel. That’s a woman on a bus, and the police of the Authority waving them through with a blessing.

The world still talks about a peace process and a state as if this were a border dispute that ran long. You don’t hand a flag to a culture that treats a restaurant full of families as a scoreboard and then thanks Allah when the number moves.

This is what they are. This is what they celebrate. This is what they want to reward.

Hijab and chador can stay. And they’re capping how many foreign pupils go into a class.
That’s not hate. That’s a country remembering what a school is for.

A little girl should not sit in a British or Italian classroom with her face hidden.

The teacher should see her. The other kids should see her. That’s basic. That’s dignity. That’s the whole point of sending a child to school in a free country.

And the cap is just honesty. You cannot keep packing classrooms with kids who don’t speak the language and then act shocked when nobody learns anything. Integration isn’t a slogan. It’s a classroom that still works.

Britain won’t do this. We’ll have another panel. Another lecture. Another “who are we to say.” Meanwhile parents know exactly what’s happening in some schools and they’re not allowed to say it out loud.

Italy just said it.

Face visible. Language first. Limits in the room.

If that’s “far right,” then common sense has been smeared for so long people have forgotten what it looks like.

Britain should follow. Not in ten years. Now.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is consulting on new technical guidance for schools in England, Scotland and Wales about how the Equality Act 2010 applies.

The deadline for responses is 11:59pm on Wednesday 30th September.

Schools must be able to protect pupils on the basis of biological sex where sex-based provision is lawful, justified and necessary to protect privacy, dignity, safeguarding and the proper functioning of education.
