@realPrestonHill I mean, D+8 environment means a D+6 generic ballot in NC. And Cooper’s a strong candidate so he gets a boost from that. 9 points would be a pretty expected result
@JDP_PTL@PpollingNumbers No, democrats have -11 approval rating. Republicans have a -15 approval rating. Democrats are now more popular than the Republican Party for the first time in years
@QuantusInsights Same mistake Alan Lichtman made in 2024. It doesn’t matter what the objective economic numbers are, it matters how voters feel about it. And right now, voters are more than 2-1 negative on Trump’s economy, those are apocalyptic numbers
ConET makes a lot more sense once you realize they mentally add +5 points to the republicans in every poll, and add 7 if the democrat leads by more than 5
@BeshearStan@dakplswin3@georgia_psc I’d like to note that those crosstabs are from their last poll, not this poll, because they “mysteriously” did not release recall vote this time. But all their recent polls have been in that Trump+9-11 range, and bases off top lines this one is no different (probably higher tbh)
@Snarfalarf@earlyvotedata I’m actually being conservative to them with that estimation. All their recent polls are Trump+9-10. They DIDN’T release recall vote this time because they didn’t want to be clowned (my screenshot is from their last poll where they did), but it’s probably Trump+10-15
@smith_cade9 Paxton could pull out all the stops and it would still be a 50/50 race. This ad blitz only saves it from being a 70/30 race. Do not get complacent! Remember georgia 2022! We would have 60 senate seats right now if not for shit candidates!
