Gosh! We need more of these!
I will gladly offer pro bono branding and communication design work if a corporate chooses to set up and run a network of public libraries across Bangalore as a part of their CSR initiative.
A Coforge Public Library opened 5 minutes from where I live in Delhi. So excited for me and the baby.
Good collection. Really well designed and spacious. Lots of reading space. There's a separate kids room as well.
No fees. Refundable deposit of ₹1,000 to start borrowing books. One at a time.
Such a good and powerful CSR initiative
Hi @makemytripcare@makemytrip is there a way to reach a customer support agent who is human? Your phone bot and chat bot haven’t been able to help with my query regarding an extra baggage refund.
@makemytripcare@makemytrip@makemytripcare@makemytrip the bots can't understand nuance, and therefore, are unable to handle this particular use-case, and I haven’t found a way to reach a human. Could you please help resolve this at the earliest?
@makemytripcare@makemytrip Air India Express rejected the baggage add-on and processed a refund to you (since I booked via your platform), but I haven’t received it yet. I had to repurchase baggage directly with the airline, so I’ve effectively paid twice.
@gonsalves_r Definitely! But there is clearly no political will to choose public transportation over infrastructure. A part of what you’ve suggested could also be used to ensure regular maintenance of existing roads, which could in turn make existing systems so more effective! But, no :/
Every time a new metro line opens, the city feels happier. Twitter turns cheerful, almost like a mini festival among people. You don’t see that when a new flyover or tunnel opens.
To more and more human-first, non-car public infra in our cities.
@PeoplesGDArc@UFdesigners This poster is currently at @ChicagoMuseum’s ongoing exhibition Designing for Change. I got a chance to see it last year. There are so many incredibly powerful protest posters at this exhibition.
When I began freelancing in 2015, I didn't fully consider the flexibility this form of work could offer.
It wasn't until recently, and especially in 2024, that I began to take full advantage of it—combining travel with my interest in history.
Hoping I can pull it off again.
As news reports come in on the withdrawal of the Broadcasting Services (Regulation) Bill, 2024, I would like to thank everyone who reported, worked and educated others on its dangerous provisions. This is a broad coalition of diverse individuals, groups and organisations who have stood up and asked the government for transparency and contested political censorship.
My own assessment is that these reports indicate merely a retreat and an official ministerial statement or admission in parliament is necessary for confirmation. However, small victories do matter and it’s important to pause and cheer for public accountability.
Hope that the MIB practices the Pre-Legislative Consultation Process (PLCP) in letter and spirit for future legal proposals. I hope to continue providing a political economy framing and a detailed legal analysis that advances policy and public deliberation.
