A landmark moment for maternal and newborn health in Uttar Pradesh!

The first comprehensive training module and state trainers’ training programme on Identification and Management of High-Risk Pregnancy (HRP) was launched by the National Health Mission (NHM), Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, and UNICEF India.

Developed jointly by NHM with the technical support of UNICEF India, King George Medical University (KGMU) Lucknow, and Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Delhi (IIHMR), this first-of-its-kind training module will help build the capacity of frontline health functionaries (ANMs and CHOs) across the state in identifying, managing, and referring women with high-risk pregnancy in a timely and effective manner.

This will help reduce stillbirths as well as newborn and maternal mortality and ensure survival and good health #ForEveryChild and every mother.
