28-летняя Дарья Касаткина сообщила о получении австралийского гражданства на своей странице в Instagram.

«Официально австралийка. Счастлива, благодарна и свободна», — написала Касаткина.

В марте 2025 теннисистка сообщила, что сменила спортивное гражданство и будет выступать за Австралию.

В июле 2022 года на YouTube-канале спортивного блогера Вити Кравченко вышло интервью с Касаткиной, в котором она сделала каминг-аут и выступила против войны в Украине.
