#ICOM2026 kicks off with an impressive number of participants! Congratulations to @mycorrhiza_ims .
Had an engaging discussion with new friend, Prof. Ji Zhang on the application of mycorrhiza in medicinal plants.
More updates to come!
Very much looking forward to delivering an invited talk at ICOM 2026, Cairns, Australia!
I will be presenting our work in Symposium 9A: Mycorrhizal Microbiomes.
If you'll be attending the conference, I'd be delighted to see you at my lecture on 14 July.

Our new review article explores how the ancient partnership between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and plants goes far beyond phosphorus uptake to Nitrogen cycle.

🌱 Not all fungi forage the same way. In our new study, some AMF foraged far into soil patches while others stayed by the roots—together boosting plant growth and reducing nutrient losses.

We are excited to announce our new research article focuses on the uptake of organic nitrogen by mycorrhizal plant roots. Our work disentangles the puzzle in the mycorrhizosphere in terms of organic nitrogen utilization.

Academia's tough enough without shortcuts. Honest scientists striving for quality knowledge face challenges, while others buy citations for jobs, and awards. Integrity counts. Keep pushing for genuine contributions!
🚀 Thrilled to unveil our latest research: 'Google Scholar is manipulatable'. We dive deep into the alarming reality of citation manipulation, showing how easily fake citations flood Scholar profiles. Our findings shed crucial light on academic integrity.

A nice weekend in Coimbatore. Delivered two lectures on "microbial volatiles and biostimulants" to SAUs faculty members in an ICAR sponsored workshop organized by the Department of Microbiology, TNAU. Enjoyed South Indian food and a short visit to Isha Foundation.

We propose a new concept that combine multiple ecological theories and suggest that both plant and soil biodiversity, as well as their interactions, be explicitly considered to improve mechanistic understanding of the resistance and resilience of ecosystems to increasing disturbances.
Adopting a framework that combines both plant and soil biodiversity approaches is likely provide improved ecosystem restoration outcomes.
