@chamath A lot of usage experience actually points to the latest not being the greatest at all. 4.8 gave much more consistent results. opus5 and fable5 feel undercooked and tend to drift even pretty basic tasks

please don't. Israel's "free" healthcare is not, in fact, free, and is mostly a marketing shtick. performance-wise it's been drifting towards UK or CA's healthcare for years - very long wait times for pretty much anything except ER, overcrowded understaffed hospitals, 30+ person lines in pharmacies to get medication. sure, a lot of it is subsidized, but that's directly deducted from salaries. the quadopoly (actually duopoly + 2 way smaller players) also pretty much kills the private healthcare sector which exists but is closer to US prices in a market with 1/3 of US salaries. in the last 2-3 years the whole healthcare system is switching towards a freemium where you still have to co-pay pretty much everything. it's not large sums yet, but you get billed for any medical action. you also can't choose your diagnostics in many cases, because "we don't give this to your demographic" government mandates, vs. walking into a lab and doing a blood test privately in the US. it's not a good system to learn from, and it's in a very slow death spiral along with the rest of the israeli economy.

@Osint613 this is misleading to a point of being retarded. the poll is 2500 people. 79% of republicans in the poll consider the war not a mistake, 91% of democrats consider it a mistake. and the more interesting point is that 46% right now pushing for better deal vs 48% that say deal now.

@angela_kukh @WallStreetMav it's not applicable across all industries, but in some cases sure, why not. major appliances - i'm all for it. personal electronics often become technologically obsolete before they break or not worth the hassle of reselling on the 2nd hand market.
