I found another video about the P-38, I’m going to focus on America, American made products and the folks who stand prepared to defend us. As we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Great Republic!
For 250 years, America has pushed the boundaries of what’s possible. From the invention of the airplane to the first steps on the Moon and the missions shaping tomorrow, NASA embodies the fearless spirit of discovery that defines our Nation.
As we celebrate America's 250th with @Freedom250, we honor the innovation, courage, and scientific leadership that have propelled America forward. NASA continues to expand the frontier for the next generation.
🚀 The countdown to America’s 250th starts now. Just 3 days to go.

If Iran accepts new inspections, can the US even make them work? | Hidden centrifuges, “technical incompetence,” and other obstacles make nuclear inspectors’ job harder than ever. by @deftechpat https://t.co/w52hAOpCec
On this day in 1965 the United States flew its first ever B-52 combat mission. 27 of these massive bombers, built to drop nuclear bombs on the Soviet Union, took off from Guam and flew almost 2,500 miles to hit a single patch of Viet Cong jungle in War Zone D, just north of Saigon.
The plan was a mess. They had to refuel in midair on the way, and two of the bombers clipped each other over the Pacific and went down. 8 airmen died before a single bomb was dropped. The strike itself was so far off the mark that ground troops who swept the area afterward barely found anything.
But it didn't matter. The carpet bombing had begun. For the next 8 years those B-52s flew thousands of Arc Light missions over Southeast Asia, hitting from 30,000 feet so high and so quiet that the people on the ground never heard them coming until the whole world exploded around them. The single most feared thing in the entire war, and it started today.
Auburn men’s golf just earned a shoutout on the U.S. Open broadcast, congratulating the team on the National Championship and showing Jackson Koivun on the opening hole
The C 17 is an impressive aircraft. I was on the Air Staff during its procurement and took part in early testing. This is exactly what we envisioned.
Notice the short landing distance and powerful reverse thrust. 🇺🇸🔥
As the world marks the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, troops gathered at the Cabbage Patch Memorial in Carentan, France, to honor the Americans and Allies whose sacrifice helped secure freedom in Europe. #dday
On this day in 1944, 150,000 Allied soldiers are being loaded onto ships all across southern England. Tomorrow, they'll take part in history's greatest invasion.
“At that time, we didn't know it was D-Day," one veteran would later recall. "We just knew we had a job to do.”
