James built Dan & Flo — referral engine for small businesses. It works through cross-promotion by email to each business's customer list - basically you share a partner business's coupon with your list, and the other business does the same with your coupon to their list. All compliant. All automated by Dan & Flo!

It has a great vibe of businesses helping businesses without any algorithmic entanglements. 🙂

Connecting and sharing across generations is just about the most human thing we do.

This build was during the @Replit buildathon, but it came out of the grief of the passing of my mom and cleaning out my parents’ house.

Standing at that kitchen sink, as I took apart a room that had seen enough sweet tea and biscuits prepared in it to circle the globe, I wished that so many of my memories had not been lost to time.

With my build, I’m ready to start fresh from “now”, and do better at being intentional about my family time and about capturing it in all its glorious and chaotic details.

The happy ending to my story is that my daughter and her husband are renovating the home, and in August there will be a new generation who will come to live there. Their little one will be the 6th generation there and this time I’m prepared for every single grand moment. https://t.co/9iwLIcq7H2
