On this day in 1981, the MiG-25R ‘Foxbat’ was inducted into the #IAF.

Capable of operating above 60,000 ft and at speeds beyond Mach 3, the Foxbat served as a high-altitude reconnaissance platform. During Op Safed Sagar, it undertook vital reconnaissance missions, providing valuable imagery and intelligence.

Centre for Air Borne Systems (CABS), DRDO with support from Adani Defence Systems and Technologies (ADSTL) as Development Cum Production Partner (DcPP) is responsible for integration of mission systems on modified AEW&C MK II Platform, delivered by Airbus Defence & Space (Original Equipment Manufacturer)

CABS and ADSTL will also carry out flight testing of the AEW&C MK II aircraft along with the Indian Air Force to obtain certification from airworthiness agencies - Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification and Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance
