@theAGU Career Guidance Program was particularly transformative. It culminated in certification, and the remarkable opportunity to participate, especially under @arcook75 mentorship, transformed my understanding of scientific pathways and possibilities. #AGU#Grateful
1/ My colleague @bhensonweather and I teamed to write an article on the 25th anniversary of the first tornado emergency (issued in the May 3, 1999 outbreak) and how the product has changed between then and the Rolling Fork, MS tornado emergency in 2023.

Greatly enjoyed collaborating with @arcook75 on this! Note that AMS has made this article available to everyone along with Weather Band members because of keen interest in the upcoming 25th anniversary as well as the tornado outbreak this past weekend.
Many recent U.S. tornado outbreaks have slammed the Mississippi Valley and Southeast, but on Friday and Saturday 4/26-4/27, the Tornado Alley of the Great Plains reasserted itself in a grim way. @CC_Yale

Beyond excited to moderate this discussion on tornado damage surveys! I first met John Gordon @mammatusman during my time as a student intern at WFO Jackson, MS - humbling opportunity to interview someone I consider to be a giant in our field! Tune in tomorrow (4/25) at 2p EDT!
This was one of the events that solidified my interest in weather. I spoke with a Saline Co. Sheriff once who told me that a mailbox from Arkadelphia landed on Chicot Rd in Saline *with the mail still inside*! Well over 100 miles downstream from its origin #tornado#arwx
Do you remember how warm and humid March 1, 1997 was? You just knew something bad was going to happen by the way it felt. I hate that feeling. That day definitely had an impact on what I do today. #ARWX#ARStormTeam
