Extortion affects individuals, businesses, and entire communities.
Through a coordinated, cross-border investigation, @PeelPolice and law enforcement partners disrupted an organized crime group responsible for violent offences and held those involved accountable.
We remain committed to a zero-tolerance approach to criminal activity and to keeping our communities safe.

This #PoliceWeek, @PeelPolice recognizes the dedication, professionalism, and service of members who work every day to support community safety across Peel.
Through evolving challenges and moments that see most people at home with loved ones, our members remain on duty, working tirelessly to support and protect our communities. We also honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and recognize the families who share in this service. Thank you for your unwavering commitment, professionalism, and care for the people of Peel.
Peel Regional Police extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Brandon Malcolm who tragically lost his life in the line of duty yesterday.
May his service, dedication, and sacrifice to the community he served never be forgotten. #HeroesInLife
Thank you to our Jewish - faith and community leaders for an important conversation on safety, trust, and the concerns of rising antisemitism.
We remain committed to the safety and wellbeing of the Jewish community and all Peel communities. Listening, learning & collaborating are pillars to help us achieve our Vision of a Safer Community Together.
@DeputyAndrews
Honoured to welcome the Rt. Hon. @MarkJCarney to 22 Division @PeelPolice in #Brampton. Arsalan Chaudhary’s guilty plea marks another significant step toward justice in this historic organized crime case — not only in Peel’s history, but in Canada’s.
This outcome reflects the tireless work of our officers, alongside our national and international partners.
Today, I was in #Ottawa with colleagues to join @Safety_Canada while they introduced Bill C-22.
These changes will help @PeelPolice investigate threats faster, and access critical information for our investigations. It is a welcome step toward modernizing our authorities.
This morning's incident, in which officers were confronted with gunfire while responding to a domestic call, was another reminder of the risks our members face while protecting their communities. We are thankful that all @PeelPolice and @peel_pa officers involved were unharmed, and extend our full support.

What I've learned about @kidanianTO from our time in Education to Energy and Mines is that above all else, he is a principled conservative, generous friend, and dependable team player.
I enjoyed every minute and will always be grateful for his friendship and counsel.
I sent him off with @stephenharper’s new book 'Flags of Canada' to recognize his service and devotion to the country we love 🇨🇦
Our thanks to @CanadianFSWC for the opportunity for our members to deepen their understanding of antisemitism and the dangers of hate and intolerance. @PeelPolice remains committed to standing against hate and protecting all communities.
Today, extortions are a serious problem in the Lower Mainland of B.C., Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and the GTA. But if we don’t act now — by adopting stronger tools like the lawful access provisions in Bill C-2 and fully supporting local extortion task forces with CBSA and FINTRAC collaboration — this will spread to every city in Canada, turning isolated hotspots into a nationwide epidemic of fear and violence. There is no time to waste. @StamatakisCPA@ChiefNish@brendalockebc@gary_srp@TeamKerzner@ScottGillingham@iHarkiratSingh #cdnpoli @onpoli #extortions

Transnational crime is a major cause of violence & harm to our communities.
The charges against Ryan James Wedding were indictments for drug trafficking, leading a criminal enterprise & multiple murders, INCLUDING ones right here in #PEEL: https://t.co/21R8X0J37f
This investigation & his subsequent arrest demonstrate the value of cross-border policing.
Congratulations & thank you to all involved: @FBI, @DHSgov, @DEAHQ, @LAPDHQ, @RCMP, @OPP_News, @TorontoPolice, and @NiagaraPolice@peelpolice
Huge thanks to everyone who joined the Annual @PeelPolice Golf Tournament in support of @VictimServPeel! Together, we’re making a real impact for those affected by crime.
Grateful to the incredible team at @GolfLionhead for hosting us once again, and to our generous sponsors—this event wouldn’t happen without you!
And a special shout-out to our Premier @FordNation for sinking a hole-in-one!

Relentless pursuit. Historic impact. @PeelPolice’s largest drug bust ever with nearly $50M of cocaine seized, sending a clear message to those engaging in drug trafficking and criminality in our region.
Drug smugglers don’t quit - #NeitherDoWe.

Project Outsource uncovered an organized crime network with two connected arms — one dedicated to extortion and violence, the other tied to the towing industry.
Acting Detective Sergeant Brian Lorette breaks down the investigation, $4.2M in seized assets, and the takedown of a group that was spreading fear and harm across our communities.

Following the horrific incident in Washington, D.C., we have been offering reassurance to our local communities through a more active presence at places of worship.
Please note there are no active related threats, but we are committed to monitoring the situation and keeping our communities safe.
We extend our thoughts and support to the Jewish community during this difficult time. Acts of violence and hate have no place here — or anywhere.
@ArashMadani Damn… What a ride it has been living the dream. Thanks for everything over the years. Your storytelling has made a true difference. Let’s catch up soon.
