Fable burns tokens like anything. Many folks have reported to me that they don't really see a major jump. I definitely don't agree with this at all.
Its almost chewing my entire orchestrator work that I have been doing for some time now. Its a beast if you know how to use it.
I am looking for a replacement for my flat and people having been coming in to see the room. Most of them were genuinely happy seeing the state of the room and one of them said it was the dream setup.
Ah, the feeling!
absolutely blessed to have gotten by limits reset by Claude after 4.8 release. Also I am loving 4.8, performing really well for me, and I have resumed work on Horus now given that my flat hunting has concluded successfully. Expect existing updates over coming weeks
Really, just read this https://t.co/vTtOsE0TBZ, and it will help you understand why companies need to do layoffs. Those who do not understand how to use AI effectively will be weeded out. No company can afford to pay for every engineers token spends.
to all the reports of how much costly AI is and companies are cutting expenses, what we need to realise is that its like giving a ferrari to every driver in the world. What do you expect? Those who are already 10x will yield more power, the rest will just waste money

Truly incredible.
Micron stock, $MU, is now up another +6% in overnight trading, adding another +$60 billion in market cap in hours.
Just 12 months ago, the entire stock was worth less than $70 billion.
Including the gain during regular trading hours, Micron has now added +$220 BILLION today.
This makes Micron the 12th largest public company in the world.
Made a simple PWA app to help with house hunting, spent barely 2 days so its still rough around the edges. Planning to work on this more once I am done with Horus.
This is literally what I have been saying to everyone. You don't need to burn your life and make a multi million dollar startup. Even if something ends up making a few thousands of dollar revenue per month, its still more than what we would earn in the RSU that we get
. @ElenaVerna calls it "mom 'n' pop saas" I've been calling it "digital main street"
not every software business needs to be a venture-backed unicorn. a million-dollar software company built around something you actually know cold - that's a legitimate, increasingly achievable outcome.
thanks to @lennysan for bringing this article to my attention!
someone yesterday asked me what i thought high agency meant. i think it’s usually some unholy combination of:
- resourcefulness
- relentlessness
- resilience
this has always been rare, but rn it feels borderline unfair. the world has never had more leverage just sitting around waiting for one person stubborn enough to use it.
Also this is one of the reasons I never brought my proceeds from stock sales of $INTU back to India and am never gonna do that, treating it as retirement money. Parking 50% portfolio in India and 50% in US provides the perfect hedge to volatility
People often take this very lightly when I talk about this. The repercussion's of this are far reaching. We will have more inflation, needing to spend more money in a world where already the service sector is being hit from all sides. Imagine being jobless and having to pay more
I knew this day would come :(
Horus has started to reach that level of maturity that I am running 5-6 chats easily in parallel now without much supervision. But that is burning so much tokens. Need to find a solution to this mess.

Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Dr Balakrishnan casually explaining how he built his own AI agent (a 2nd brain for diplomacy) using Claude & WhatsApp integration etc. on a Raspberry Pi
“You cannot govern a technology you have only been briefed on.” 🇸🇬
So I am pretty soon flat hunting, and you know what, this time, the itch to try make some software to help me in this approach is kicking in. So am gonna go and do exactly that. Lets see where it goes. Starting out with a simple CRM to help me manage leads for multiple brokers
Really proud to see Horus taking good shape. Its now allowing me to pursue multiple software ideas in parallel. While the original project itself is still building on, the fact that I am able to even consider starting ideation on other things is pretty neat.
I would literally partner with anyone willing to spend all their time coding to build some crazy stuff in the next couple of months, this era of cheap tokens is not gonna last.
This is what keeps me up at nights. Only way is to automate all your stuff, identify badly leveraged industries with lot of inefficiencies, make money by taking others jobs. Its a dog eat dog world, layoffs in tech are going to be become more widespread with time.
Everyone has seen the @waitbutwhy cartoon of AI capability growth with a "you are here" indicator just before the exponential really starts, but the independent assessments of both METR and the UK's AISA do seem to show that we are past that point now (until we hit a slowdown?)
