@GOtransit Absolute worst weekend to have PLANNED rail work. The last 2 regular season Jays games, plus a Maple Leafs game, and a FC game. You really should have thought this through better. 🤬🤬🤬

Dear @JustinTrudeau,
Due to @realDonaldTrump’s continuing threats to annex our country I have decided that I cannot in good conscience give up any of my firearms (or ammunition) at this time. Because at this point, given the unprepared state of our military (thanks to your party’s neglect), the only thing that stands between Canada remaining a sovereign nation and becoming the 51st state appears to be 2.5 million patriotic gun owners.
The lesson being that military style firearms in the hands of private citizens do indeed play an important role in a nation’s security (see Switzerland).
Plus you’re a cockwomble. And I’d never give my guns to a weak corrupt cockwomble.
Oh. And Merry Christmas.
This is incredibly dumb.
Criminals are smuggling their firearms across the border.
Banning pinned mags won't stop that.
This is a backdoor ban on most semi automatic hunting rifles with detachable mags.
Stop the gun bans - crack down on criminals. https://t.co/J4rgbL2DqC
@SenCoyle @DonPlett But targeting legal Law Abiding Firearms owners doesn't do anything about public safety! The criminals don't care if their Firearms are on the prohibited list, they'll use them anyways.
Trudeau-appointed senators voted against ALL amendments aiming to impose serious penalties for the criminal use of #firearms.
#C21 is left without teeth in tackling the criminal use of firearms & remains only focused on legal firearms owners.
Trudeau govt is NOT worth the cost.
Bill C-21 Threatens More Than Just Our Economy
In 2018, according to a survey completed by @ConfBoardofCda, more money was spent on #hunting than on fishing, in the territories and three of the Atlantic provinces. #Sportshooting grew even larger with an estimated 1.4 Million participants. Trappers, a smaller group at 45,000 participants who rely on firearms for personal safety, contributed $91 Million to Canada's GDP. 👇
Hunting
- In 2018, there were approx. 1.3 million #hunters in Canada
- 25% of hunters #hunt for food or sustenance
- Hunting spending totalled $5.9 Billion, contributing $4.1 Billion toward Canada's GDP
- Hunting supported 33,000 jobs and generated approx. $2 Billion in labour income
Shooting Sports
Sport shooting was 2nd only to the fishing industry (3 Million) with 1.4 Million people partaking in the #sport.
- A total of $2.6 Billion was spent on this activity
- Spending boosted GDP by $1.8 Billion and supported 14,000 jobs in the industry
- Sport #shooting generated $868 Million in labour income
Trapping
While a smaller industry at 45,000 #trappers in Canada, trappers spent $131 Million in 2018.
- Trappers contributed $91 Million to Canada's GDP
- #Trapping supported 738 jobs and generated $44 Million in labour income
Note: These numbers have all increased since 2018.

🆘🆘🆘❗️❗️❗️
I will try to simplify C-21 into key points.
C-21 is presented to Canadians as the solution to daily shootings
C-21 is presented as introducing red flags to Canada
C-21 touted as the end of “assault weapons” in Canada
The facts are that the population does not know:
The firearms (handguns ban) impacted by C-21 are NOT those used in the shootings that kill people every day in our streets. These are smuggled and almost untraceable.
Red flags have already existed in Canada for decades. (Firearm Act 1995). Anyone who feels threatened by a firearm owner can call 911 or 1-800-731-4000 (CFP) and officers will automatically remove the firearms from the owner, no questions asked.
“Assault weapons”, by definition automatic, have been banned from Canada since 1977 in the Criminal Law Amendment Act. Other firearms that lobbies also refer to as "military-style" like the AR-15 are semi-automatic firearms that are used primarily for target shooting and sometimes for hunting. The AR-15 has never been used in a shooting in Canada. Even though there have been very few mass shootings in Canada, given the strict control measures and culture in place in the country, it would be fair to say that Canada does not have a problem with mass shooting, as we can see in our neighbors to the south.
In summary, Canadians are misled by Liberal promises but especially by the #antigun lobbies who have worked hard for 30 years to make honest citizens who hold PAL/RPAL look bad. By vilifying them daily on social networks, on television and in newspapers, it contributes to diverting public funds, monopolizing political resources in addition to ignoring the root causes of continually increasing gun violence.
Certain groups, and even doctors (who abuse their titles for credibility purposes), have organized activist movements which are financed and which have influential political ties to try to pass laws which go beyond their expertise.
The more we share the truth, the more we educate citizens, the less real support for C-21 will be.
Now, let's share!
