Here are a few scenes from a digital marketing workshop we ran for a leading beauty brand in #hongkong. It was great to share insights around the #SEO industry and how to run multilingual campaigns in #APAC and abroad.

Of course, any core update can produce drops or gains for some content. Because of the two-part nature of this release, it’s possible a very small slice of content might see changes in June that reverse in July....
Later today, we are releasing a broad core update, as we do several times per year. It is called the June 2021 Core Update. Our guidance about such updates is here:

This will be followed by the July 2021 Core update. Here’s more information about that…
@jsilton@JohnMu@Olaf_Kopp@searchliaison Hi, @jsilton same issue here - mobile ranking appears fine in SERPs, but on desktop, the URL has completely disappeared. Further, when in GSC and testing live URL it uses Googlebot Desktop and returns a Soft 404!
Google's Soft 404 detecting issue continues. @JohnMu and @Olaf_Kopp were able to discuss in the SEO office hours on Friday (https://t.co/KUhyQt9hYy). @searchliaison this is increasingly impacting our site, and it would be helpful if you can comment on a timeline for resolution
@jsilton@jsilton we experiencing the same thing for a large travel client with queries containing an origin/destination... Started in the last couple days.
Marketing leaders have no problem pouring 20K into a keyword in AdWords every month if they know it coverts, but content people at the same company would almost never, ever get budget like that to go after the same keyword in search on a monthly basis.
Yesterday I noticed that my Fetch & Render tool wasn't ranking at all. No issues reported in GSC but simply gone from results. Then I noticed this copyright complaint notice 🤨 Is this some kind of new negative SEO hack? What am I missing here? @JohnMu@rustybrick
@JHTScherck Maybe not, but Core Web Vitals has been a conduit to getting clients to finally address speed / performance issues; which has led to dramatic increases in conversions & revenue ... so it’s been a blessing in that regard.
User intent everywhere. Now, Google Ads changes broad and phrase match to a user intent-based targeting model.
Less ownership for advertisers unless they choose exact match (also fuzzy), but better targeting if Google gets it right.

It's sad to have access to a client's GSC to see their SEO agency just upload a new disavow file every month or so, despite it never having any kind of penalty, dodgy SEO or coming under attack. Just because some tool said there were "toxic" links no doubt 😒
Impressed: For a 100% free product, Microsoft Clarity is damn useful for SEO. Already getting a ton of insight with -
• Dead clicks / Rage Clicks (reduce user frustration) 😡
• Scroll depth (not as deep as I thought) ⬇️
• Heat maps 🔥

Google Search is now rolling out a special icon that provides more information about the source of a result, if your connection to it will be secure, and more. This is a beta feature for now, offered in English in the US. https://t.co/9Vovj6vYcG
