Sixteen year old Rizwana Gul, a first year student from Killi Teri, Mastung forcibly disappeared on 28 June 2026 from Sariab Road, Quetta. The enforced disappearance of a minor reflects a deeply alarming pattern in Balochistan, where women and children are increasingly becoming victims of serious human rights violations. Where is Rizwana Gul?

The targeting of Baloch women and minors marks a dangerous escalation in the ongoing human rights crisis. Enforced disappearance violates international law, including protections guaranteed under the Convention on the Rights of the Child and fundamental international human rights standards. No state can justify the disappearance of a 16 year old student.

The international community, the United Nations, UN Special Procedures, and global human rights organizations must urgently address the growing pattern of enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

The Baloch Women Forum strongly condemns the enforced disappearance of 16-year-old Rizwana, a first year student from Mastung. Her disappearance adds to the growing number of Baloch women who have been forcibly disappeared including Khadija Baloch, Mahjabeen Baloch, Nasreena Baloch and Habiba Baloch. The increasing abduction of Baloch women and girls demonstrates that enforced disappearance has become a deliberate instrument of fear, intimidation and collective punishment against the Baloch nation. The targeting of women and even minors represents a dangerous escalation, violating the most fundamental principles of human dignity and justice.

The continued abduction of Baloch women is a colonial tactic aimed at terrorizing communities, silencing political voices and weakening the social fabric of an oppressed nation. When women become targets, the objective extends beyond the individual, it is intended to spread fear across entire families and communities. Baloch Women Forum demands the immediate release of Rizwana, Khadija Baloch, Mahjabeen Baloch, Nasreena Baloch, Habiba Baloch and all forcibly disappeared Baloch women. We call on the international community and global human rights mechanisms to take urgent action, ensure independent investigations and hold those responsible accountable. The normalization of the enforced disappearance of Baloch women must end before more lives are destroyed by impunity.

اس 11 جولائی کو میرے استادِ محترم، پروفیسر شہید رزاق، کی تیرھوی برسی تھی۔ انہیں 2013 میں ڈیتھ اسکواڈ کے ہاتھوں صرف اس لیے قتل کر دیا گیا کہ انہوں نے خضدار جیسے علاقے میں علم کا چراغ روشن کیا تھا۔ وہ وہاں ایک سائنس اکیڈمی چلا رہے تھے اور بچوں کو معیاری تعلیم فراہم کرنے کے لیے کوشاں تھے۔

ان کی شہادت کے بعد اس خاندان پر مصائب کا سلسلہ رکا نہیں۔ ان کا ایک بھتیجا ٹریفک حادثے میں جان کی بازی ہار گیا، جبکہ ان کے ایک بھائی پینکریاٹک کینسر میں مبتلا ہوئے اور صرف تین ماہ کے اندر انتقال کر گئے۔

اب اس خاندان کا ایک اور نوجوان، آصف بلوچ جو پشاور یونیورسٹی سے گریجویٹ ہیں، دو روز قبل کوئٹہ کے ایمان سٹی سے پانچ دیگر طلباء سلمان، زبیر، نبیل اور کاشف کے ساتھ سیکیورٹی فورسز کے اہلکاروں کے ہاتھوں جبری طور پر لاپتہ کر دیا گیا۔ اب تک ان کی گرفتاری ظاہر نہیں کی گئی اور ان کی خیریت یا مقامِ حراست کے بارے میں کوئی اطلاع نہیں دی گئی۔

اگر اس ایک خاندان کی داستان کو ہی دیکھا جائے تو ایک نہایت دردناک تصویر سامنے آتی ہے۔ ایک استاد، جس نے تعلیم کو اپنا مقصد بنایا، قتل کر دیا گیا۔ خاندان کے دیگر افراد مختلف سانحات کا شکار ہوئے، اور اب ایک نوجوان کو جبری طور پر لاپتہ کر دیا گیا ہے۔ یہ صورتِ حال پورے بلوچستان میں درد، غم، تکلیف اور ریاستی بربریت کو عیاں کرتی ہے۔
