I'm a bottom-up guy. I don't follow anyone with more than a thousand followers - they don't need my attention. I like to build stuff, make things work.
Now 50+ I'm more focused on learning "how to people."
Even with biases and arguing, we can band together for good. We must.
This was fun. Give it a spin!
Tracking reality is, after all, an essential survival skill.
I'm not perfect. A tad too skeptical. I'll take it.

Balloons do not float off into infinity.
They end up tangled in branches, fields, verges, shorelines or out at sea where whales & turtles mistake them for jellyfish.
I have often picked up the horrible muddy remains of balloons ๐ซ
Please don't buy them!
@EconNature@violin4all Planning, yes, refer to M. Andreesen's 2023 manifesto stating "we hate central planning."
More a matter of private planning vs. public planning. Private interests are driving public planning.
We need caucuses of faith in life to counter the caucuses of faith in commerce.
@erinn27157 Thank you. Working on that wonderfulness!
It is tough some times, especially this time of year, for me anyway.
Constantly marveling at the overlapping cycles of growth, action, decline, renewal.
Spring will come, and life will try again for the 4,501 millionth time.

@erinn27157 This is most excellent and actionable information. Thank you for the shampoo recipe!
What if I took each thing I bought labeled "disposable" and shipped it back to the maker? They should pay the disposal cost.
Each must own our "externalities" - the only way to rebalance.
Per B. Kahn, Brock Linker planted the first batch on 6,000 Montana acres.
โFarmers donโt tend to like regulations,โ Brock said. โBut if thereโs a clear, open path to heal soil and make money, that levels the playing field.โ
King Arthur's Baking Co. offers a Regenerative Ag Organic Flour, perennial Red Winter Wheat that does not require seasonal re-planting, needs little or no fertilizer. Rather than preparing the field for the grain, this is propagating grain that improves the field.
@ClimateDad77 Technology, to date, has been uniformly hostile to life and damaging to the biosphere. Narrow-minded and short-sighted.
Ecological Technology would be the opposite, engineered in alignment with long-term natural systems. Intentionally improving life's viability.
Its possible.
What's happening?
"Verification"
The process whereby "Social Media" platforms attempt to tamp down bots and improve confidence in their veracity by /borrowing authority/ from governments and businesses.
Might this displace any role of government in regulating online commerce?
@MarkTrewick1 Sure. I rely more on physical reasoning than mathematical tautology.
There are constraints, practical upper limits to Earth's heat-energy system.
Witness the emerging debate about the natural ambient temperature range.
Anticipating future local 2m temperature "records."
