@prieurdp Your front wheels turn, your back wheels don't.
If you have limited space to swing out before going in, it's harder to go in straight, and if you have to go into a tight space at any angle it's harder to adjust your position. All this is much easier if you back in.
@mightydudbolt@The__Hylia Please, watch the clip.
He says "Noooo!" right as he starts to move. Without it, it just takes a moment to confirm what is happening, bearing in mind all that has gone before. It's a subtle difference, but it's an important moment(!) and subtle differences matter.
@mightydudbolt@The__Hylia Because without the "Noooo!" he's not a desperate panic-merchant. Rather, he has made a huge decision and is now firm to it.
More technically, it creates a sense of riveting uncertainty as you watch it - it isn't quite clear until his action plays out exactly what is happening.
@chacaranda In this case the film is too good which is why people are still talking about it 50 years later and why we have got to this point in the conversation. It wasn't always like this!
@aljhlester@johannesmkx@ShipleyWrites I understand that it's important and useful to be able to talk about groups subjected to colonialism, but trying to do that by insisting on a jargon definition of a word in a general discussion on Twitter is only going to make you look ridiculous. I suggest finding a better way.
@luismbat@simongerman600 Eh? Longevity is a measure of how old you are when you retire (or get dropped). There's nothing to say players would start later?
So if the top end is stretched out 4 years (huge number), the average should increase 2 years, all else being equal. Seems close to what you found?
