We can finally talk about it:

We found a way to extract hidden reasoning of frontier models using a vulnerability in the APIs of every frontier AI company.

We verified that our reasoning token count matches billed API thinking tokens 1:1 for most of the prompts we queried.

I read Empire of AI last week after some friends in @ColumbiaEntrep recommended it (thank you @rhayajacobs and @pollisaarnan) — glad I did, it's the best rundown I've found on how the ai industry got to where it is.

Got a strange feeling reading it though. It's written like settled history already, but it's barely aged. Most of what the book covers happened over the last decade, while I was sitting in for ap and ib exams, then linear algebra, then statistics, then finally my machine learning class at columbia.

I was once talking to a coworker at Spotify about how fast AI is changing things. He asked if I was scared entering the workforce. I said no. I got lucky enough to graduate at a moment of change, early enough to pivot and absorb instead of catch up. And I want to work on the frontier, on the hardest problems there are. Some of that is ego. I'll take the risk anyway.

I open way too many tabs, rn i'm sitting at 218 across 9 windows. I tell myself i'll keep it under 200 and it just never works out lol. I didn't want to organize them myself so I built a little chrome extension that sends your tabs to claude and has it cluster them into labeled groups and then rearranges them accordingly

It's not a published extension (i just kind of rlly needed the tool asap bc my computer was stressing me out), so you gotta clone the repo and load it unpacked yourself (chrome://extensions, dev mode on), takes like 5 min

You can organize by tab groups or by separate windows, and either one works on just your current window or across all of them

You need your own anthropic api key, and it can occasionally misclassify a couple tabs when you've got hundreds open at once but it's kept my 200+ tabs at least navigable
