A scheme that divides officers between performers and non-performers can only mean unrest among a harmonious banking family.
We demand fair, transperant, equal and non-discriminatory "Performance Linked Incentive" scheme agreed in Joint note #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

Time to Implement in Banking.

A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

India’s banking went digital, but bankers are still treated like manual machines.
UPI works 24×7, humans can’t.
A 6-day week in a digital economy is outdated, unsafe, and unsustainable.
5-Day Banking is reform, not relief.
Why is the banking sector's biggest workforce issue being ignored? Lakhs of bank employees demand what's already standard elsewhere 5-day work week! This deserves national attention! @TimesNow@ndtv@IndiaToday@ABPNews Appeal to Cover this story! #5DayBanking#MediaAlert
