People voted out TMC only to find their leaders being strategically inducted into the BJP.
This is a wake-up call for poor and middle-class Bengalis who are ready to die and kill for 'political ideology.'
The rich ones can switch allegiance overnight, leaving you to fend for yourself.
Remember, a total of 321 BJP workers were killed by TMC goons between 2011 and 2026.
Today, their families are watching in shock and horror as what is unfolding in West Bengal.
They did not sign up for this mockery of justice.
Anyone supporting the defection of TMC's trash to the BJP in the name of a strategic political alliance should be ashamed of themselves.
Today @KarlDeisseroth of @StanfordMed@Stanford won the @NobelPrize for his co-discovery & development of Optogenetics. Here he explains what that is, and how it is unlocking the secrets of brain function & helping to cure diseases.
(And he explains that in ~1min).
As someone of Pakistani descent, I think this is a legitimate question.
Pakistan was established in the name of Islamic supremacy, and since Islam is the official state religion, the government and radicals have been systematically persecuting Pakistan's minorities, which are shrinking in numbers with every passing day. Forced conversion, rape, and humiliation are commonplace for them.
Where is the outrage?
Yet, individuals like @mehdirhasan and @comrade_kumar_ never question Pakistan's right to exist.
I love Kannadigas for this particular quality. They take immense pride in the intellectuals and achievers who hail from their villages and hometowns.
The cabbie who drove me today proudly told me that S. L. Bhyrappa hails from his village. “Bhyrappa is the pride of Karnataka,” he said.
The other day, another cabbie proudly told me that Sir M. Visvesvaraya hailed from his taluk.
I genuinely love this about Kannadigas. ❤️
They have the right role models, the right inspirations, and a deep sense of pride in the people who have contributed intellectually and professionally to society.
That kind of admiration for knowledge, achievement and excellence is something worth celebrating.
-Only upper caste (esp brahmins) had access to education before British arrival
-Education received attention only after British arrival, esp after Charter act, Wood's dispatch & Macaulay's minute
-It was only due to British & Christian Missionaries that education spread in India
This is written in NIOS Gender Studies Textbook for senior secondary (page 152)
It is shocking how such blatant lies are allowed to be taught to our children!!
It is a well documented fact that education was flourishing in India before the arrival of British. Majority of the students, as well as teachers were from lower castes.
Noted Historian and Gandhian Dharampal ji in his book -"The Beautiful Tree: Indigenous Indian Education in the Eighteenth Century"- has painstakingly documented this from British records of over 1 lakh indigenous gurukuls/pathshalas, which existed before the arrival of British.
Why Govt of India did not refer to the extensive and authentic work of Dharampal while preparing the text book?
More shocking is the whitewashing of 1813 charter which actually unleashed Christian Missionaries to convert Hindu population.
The book does not say anything about how British destroyed the flourising indigenous education system (in which every section of the society was receiving education), rather it choses to glorify it.
Should necassary action not be taken against those who write inject such falsehood in our textbooks?
So the article's factual assumption is that child sex abuse is more likely or likelier in poor, non-general castes and religious minorities? I genuinely hope that's not the assumption.
Dalit leader Arjun Ramesh🔥🔥
“To protect our Dalit community’s dignity, we must stop misuse of the SC/ST Atrocities Act. Misuse hurts real victims and poor Dalits, as others may boycott or stop hiring us out of fear.
Reserved seats for Dalit students often go to children of rich, powerful Dalit leaders instead of poor, underprivileged students.
We must fight this injustice and fight for the real oppressed Dalits and for real victims”
The upcoming Nagaland movie Angh shows how demographic change took place through the influence of Christian missionaries.
The story is set in the 1960s and follows Anghva, a Konyak tribal chief, whose son comes under the influence of Christian missionaries and becomes attracted to Christianity and the new faith, leaving behind his tribal culture. This leads to conflicts within Anghva’s family.
The film also explores how Nagaland’s Christian population grew from around 2% to 87%.
2. If you continue, entrench & amplify the legacy problems created by the Nehruvian establishment, you must take responsibility for the current state of affairs instead of going back to Nehru. If 12 yrs isn't enough to at least stem the rot,it's not incompetence-it's intentional.
🚨 Punjabi for the parade. Indian for the mugshot.
Minister? Punjabi.
Festival? Sikh.
Extortion bust, deportation list, student-visa gang? Suddenly Indian.
That is not culture. That is a brand that keeps the glory and dumps the crime.

"Equality cannot be selective. We can't ask uniform civil laws but support special criminal laws based on caste. People backing UCC should also fix the uneven SC/ST Act.
True fairness needs the same criminal laws for everyone, not two different systems."
Well said @roypranesh 🙌
SC/ST Act (Investigation)
Currently there is a public discussion about the SC/ST Act in India, about some of its stringent provisions
I did some research on this Act, and what I found was shocking: my investigation led me to Germany-based church groups
1/22
The SC/ST Act in its present form is a blot on Indian democracy. It has, exactly how the Supreme court had warned before it was overruled, become an instrument of rampant blackmail and extortion, of both the citizens and the State.
Here, I dissect its alarming weaponisation:
A tweet takes 30 seconds to post but a legal case can follow you for years.
When a Hindu is dragged into court for speaking up, outrage and hashtags will not pay the lawyer, file the petition or fight the case. That is why we are building something far more permanent.
₹50 lakh pledged this year, but ₹25 crore Legal Fund corpus is the goal. So that when the next battle comes, Hindus are not left asking, “Who will stand for us?” We are building the answer.

In 12th-century Pushkar, a Varaha temple was built by the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan. It was destroyed by Muhammad Ghori. Rana Sagar rebuilt it.
Later, Jahangir ordered the Varaha vigraha to be thrown into a lake. The temple rose again.
Aurangzeb destroyed it once more.
And once again, Raja Sawai Jai Singh II rebuilt it.
They could destroy stones.
They could remove the vigraha.
They could try to erase memory.
But they could not erase devotion.
Shivprabhat 🙏🏽
