@MCCCANM I had a 1 am flight to CLT one time back when US Airways was at Concourse B. Train was down for maintenance from 11pm to 4am. Everyone was told we’re SOL.
@pappydeux@MCCCANM Literally just call and ask. Larger facilities might have staff that can accommodate tours easier than medium and small facilities, but even a lot of small towers should be able accommodate without too much hassle.
@mitch1561@SecDuffy When I’m hand flying my piper archer, I don’t have an extra hand to respond to a text. I can, however, use my push to talk mounted on my yoke and my voice to respond to ATC.
@SteveNomadic@SetantaADV I just started my IR in a fleet with GTN650s and G5s. Horrible. Gonna upgrade to G1000s for the rest of my IR training, and then go back to flying my flying club airplanes with GNS430s and G5s.

Plus, we have MDW 10 miles south. Chicago airspace is extremely complex and busy.
@HerbelEssences Es Con field and Globe Life were built at the same time with similar designs. One knocked it out of the park, the other was an infield fly.
@Mirgorodski@1993BCE@latestinspace In aviation, we actually DO put an extra engine “just in case”. Planes are designed to fly on one engine. The second is redundant technically.
