Uranus. (Go ahead, get it out of your system. We tried.)
Only Voyager 2 in the 1980s & Keck (with adaptive optics) have imaged the planet's rings before, and they've never been this clear. @NASAWebb highlights atmospheric features & 11 of its 13 rings: https://t.co/oWpw1ekldE
T MINUS 1 YEAR & COUNTING! On 8 Apr 24 there will be a total eclipse of the Sun across N. America. Last real chance for another 21 years. It is special in that the Sun will be near the cycle's maximum activity so the corona will be bigger, brighter, more structured, quite a show!
Interesting new comet candidate A10SVYR on the PCCP to keep an eye on. Looks like it will pass almost directly between the Earth and Sun in 2024 October, where forward scattering could make the comet fairly bright in twilight if it survives to that point: https://t.co/QZQsuXoQKo
Geminids are on! But it's not the only active meteor shower. If you want to know more about them, check Bob Lunsford's Weekly Meteor Activity Outlook for December 11-17, 2021!

Never too late to build a dobsonian mount for one's Newtonian telescope. This photo shows a decade old 8 inch Newtonian telescope on a newly DIY dobsonian mount made by yours truly. #Dobsonian#Newtonian#telescope
