Happy to share our work characterizing a novel streptococcal ABC transporter that exports the antibiotic fosfomycin, now published in @PNASNews! https://t.co/DiatpOEgUv
Special Issue on “Microbiota, Infections and Host Immunity” at ACS Infectious Diseases is calling for papers! Co-edited by @Yuanqiao1002@Matt_E_Griffin and @Hatzios_Lab. Submit your work now https://t.co/KusHeL7JEp Please RT 🙏
Happy to see our latest work on pneumococcal pyruvate kinase published in @JMolBiol! In this study, we investigated the molecular factors that make this enzyme prefer GTP synthesis over ATP synthesis https://t.co/jrygXkrppQ
New in JBC press: "Scientists' work sheds light on the regulatory mechanism of SpPYK and lays the groundwork for antibiotic development that targets this essential enzyme."

So excited to share this work from the Walker Lab, now online @NatureMicrobiol (https://t.co/XPtMfjzCeC), in which we uncover a general strategy for bacterial cell envelope polymer acylation using teichoic acid ᴅ-alanylation as a paradigm!

New in #JBacteriology! A minireview exploring peptidoglycan glycosidases, enzymes notorious for both the diversity of their specific physiological roles & their nonspecificity for fulfilling the same role within & between bacterial species. Check it out: https://t.co/brGGJJRehg
An excellent @PNASNews commentary on our recent paper that investigated the functions of membrane-bound cell wall hydrolases in S. pneumoniae! https://t.co/GiQzVvg7sS
@davidroper2@PNASNews@IUBiology@HarvardMicro It becomes open access after 6 months, but I can provide the manuscript pdf via email/DM if you are having trouble accessing it. Also we posted a preprint on biorxiv that contains most of our findings https://t.co/MuiNUnGIPz
Happy to see our work on S. pneumoniae peptidoglycan glycosidases in @PNASNews! A great collaboration with the Winkler lab (@IUBiology). @HarvardMicro

@microbe_megan You could try looking for an alternative company that can service your LC-MS. We did that for our Agilent LC-MS and I became less stressed about mass spec maintenance.
ACS Chemical Biology, along with the ACS Division of Biological Chemistry, is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2021 ACS Chemical Biology Lectureship Award – Suzanne Walker, PhD.
