UFBU — RIP. ⚰️
4.4 lakh Officers.
Different roles. Different issues.
Officers need a Separate Forum.
No more compromise.
One voice. One platform.
@UFBUIndia@aiboc_in@CBOAofficial@AIBEAofficial
At this juncture, when a senior fin. advisor is advocating for #5DayBanking,sadly UFBU leaders (read DALALS)have compromised with dreams and future of lakh of bankers. Now we have to take our future in our own hand, not to the whims of some “DALALS.”

THE TRUST HAS BEEN BETRAYED — BANKERS DESERVE ANSWERS
On the night of 27 September, the three-day bank strike was suddenly deferred after bankers had already mobilised themselves for the struggle. On 27 September, bankers had also worked on a Sunday in the backdrop of the proposed industrial action.
The question is not merely why the strike was deferred. The bigger question is:
WHAT DID BANKERS ACTUALLY GET IN RETURN?
If there was a genuine breakthrough, put every commitment clearly before the members.
If there was a concrete agreement, disclose the terms.
If Five-Day Banking has finally moved towards implementation, WHERE IS THE IMPLEMENTATION DATE?
And here lies the most disturbing reality:
**THERE WAS NO DEADLINE EARLIER.
THERE IS NO DEADLINE EVEN TODAY.**
For years, bankers have heard about proposals, discussions, negotiations, assurances and committees. Now, after a major strike was deferred, bankers are once again being asked to wait for another process.
How long are bankers expected to wait?
A committee is not implementation.
A discussion is not implementation.
An assurance is not implementation.
A promise without a deadline is not a commitment.
Bankers have already demonstrated their commitment to the cause. They stood together, prepared for industrial action and made personal sacrifices. The leadership now owes the workforce the same level of commitment, transparency and accountability.
This is not about opposing dialogue.
Dialogue is welcome—but dialogue without a time-bound outcome becomes an endless waiting room.
The banking workforce deserves to know:
What was agreed?
What was achieved?
What remains pending?
Who is responsible?
What is the deadline?
And what happens if that deadline is not honoured?

We have around eight lakhs employees in all public sector banks. All of them are not union members.
Let’s assume only five lakhs are members of different unions.
The average monthly union fund deduction is Rs. 150/- per employee.
That makes the monthly income of Rs. 75000000/-
Average Annual income of Rs. 900000000/-
THINK OF THE AMOUNT INVOLVED
And you think they will leave the leadership position so easily and let the young generation lead?
