@MichaelPetrilli I also wonder if strong state K-12 spending has lessened urgency to direct ESSER funds. Fiscal cliff concerns could motivate oversight. We're at least encouraging informal state and local collaboration to identify and sustain best practices beyond 2024.

@MichaelPetrilli Not too late, could happen this session, or even next session. Probably saw less ESSER focus in legislatures in 2022 since allocating ARPA state relief funds (CSFRF) was major focus, of which K-12 received $4.4 billion.

@MichaelPetrilli We saw a couple state legislatures in the 2021 session require summer programming (NC) or encourage summer programming (TN) w/o specifying funding sources. I would expect a lot more ESSER oversight during this session.
