It is really great to see that sustainable finance is a key pillar of COP28 and that we are delivering!! Going beyond words and pledges into actual commitments.

I'm glad to announce during COP28, the Future of Food Financing (F3) Initiative, which aims to de-risk private sector capital and help transform food systems in the Global South via innovative new bonds.

These new bonds will increase institutional investor financing to support transformative investments. But more importantly, the F3 initiative will demonstrate that alternative forms of financing are possible to meet our goals, without placing additional burdens on Government financing and aligning incentives so that all parties do better when projects succeed and deliver impact.

By utilizing the F3 structure, Investors and Project Developers will be able to do more and go further with their investments, ultimately creating more impact.

134 world leaders have endorsed the ‘COP28 UAE Declaration on Sustainable Agriculture, Resilient Food Systems, and Climate Action’, announced H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment and COP28 Food Systems Lead, during the World Climate Action Summit.
The Declaration confronts global emissions and protects the lives and livelihoods of farmers who are on the frontlines of climate change.
